Udo Kultermann is Professor Emeritus of Architecture at Washington University in St. Louis. He is the author of more than twenty-five books , many of which have been translated into several languages, on such subjects as architecture, contemporary art, art history and art theory. (Among the books are: Architecture of Today (1958), New Architecture in the World (1965), New Directions in African Architecture (1969), Contemporary Architecture in Eastern Europe (1958), Contemporary Architecture in the Arab States (1999) and others.)
