This report on Polands competitiveness in 2008 expands on similar reports that assessed the development of Polands economy and its position in the world in previous years. These reports have been published by the Warsaw School of Economics World Economy Research Institute sińce 1985. The report notes that the time has come for Poland to rethink its competitiveness strategy in order to cope with challenges connected with Polands participation in integration processes in Europe, and the same goes for challenges posed by globalization. This will enable the country to find ways to achieve a better-endowed society. This report on Polands competitiveness examines these issues in detail, and highlights the key policy priorities that need to be adopted to ensure that Poland maintains a high rate of economic growth and improves its competitive position over the next decade.
