This monograph presents the cultural periodical ?The North Norwegian Magazine? (NNM) in the first ten years of its existence, around the time when it was the largest cultural magazine in Norway, and finds out what characterized the periodical at that time when it comes to the editorial staff, the ideological basis and possible changes in NNM regarding form and contents. Roald Larsen is an associate professor specializing in Scandinavian literature at the University of Tromso Norway?s Arctic University.
