This is the fifth volume in the "Atlas of Human Central Nervous System Development" series. Like all books in this series, "The Human Brain During the Early First Trimester" provides a user-friendly survey of the complex structural processes that occur during development. Both high resolution black and white photographs as well as ghost image photographs with unabbreviated labels are included. Experimental work using H-thymidine radiography is used to identify structures previously unknown in humans. It also features up-to-date structure names for easy reference. Focusing on the early first trimester, this volume is divided into two main sections: sagittal plane specimens and frontal plane specimens.
