Dr. Steven S. Agabegi is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, Division of Spine Surgery, at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He joined UC Health in 2009.
Dr. Agabegi received his undergraduate and medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency training at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and spine surgery fellowship training at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
His clinical interest focuses on adult and pediatric spine surgery, scoliosis, complex spinal deformity, cervical and lumbar degenerative conditions, revision surgery, spine trauma and spine tumors. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery (AAOS), American Medical Association (AMA) and American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) Emerging Leaders Program.
He has published numerous articles focused on spine injuries and has received many accolades and honors throughout his career including the Healthcare Heroes Award Finalist – Cincinnati Business Courier (2014), and the Resident Leadership Forum – American Orthopaedic Association (2006).
