Personal History of CESR & Cleo Cornell Electron Storage Rin

Berkelman (Cornell University) chronicles the design and construction of the original Cornell electron storage ring (CESR) and the CLEO experimental detectors from 1974 to 1979, the upgrades made to the project during the 1980s and 1990s, the results obtained from studying the properties and interactions of B mesons, and its contributions to heavy quark and lepton physics. Some color photographs are provided.
