This wide-ranging book includes discussion of the chemistry of oligonucleotide analogues, and reports on studies of the pharmacokinetics of oligonucleotides conducted in cell cultures and in vivo. Surveying the results of structure-activity studies and current clinical trials, it concludes with reviews of applications of ribozymes, aptamers (oligonucleotides which bind specifically to proteins), and discussion of triplex-forming oligonucleotides.
