This collection considers different educational ideas and programmes of enlightenment, creativity, participation, inclusion, learning and critique all from the perspective of 'governmentality'. This work is an enlightening study of the ideas and programmes of education as being part of the history of the ways in which human beings conduct and govern themselves and others in the light of specific truth games. It investigates the intrinsic relationship between intellectual and practical educational technologies. It is a study of how educational practice and educational theory have played a constitutive role in practices of subjectivation which are crucial to our 'learning societies'.
