Imaging of Orthopaedic Fixation Devices and Prostheses

Understanding the indications, applications, and radiographic evaluation of orthopedic fixation devices, appliances, and joint prostheses is often a difficult task but an essential task for radiologists. They need to be familiar with the radiographic appearance, optimal positioning, potential complications of orthopedic applicances- basically any factor that affects the patient's status. This orthopedic primer will serve as a resource for identifying and understanding orthopedic appliances. It will be a condensed version of Berquist's Imaging Atlas of Orthopedic Appliances and Prostheses book which published in 1994.
