The Board Review Series (BRS) is aimed at providing basic knowledge as it relates to clinical situations and is used primarily by medical students studying for the USMLE. BRS Genetics, addresses a field that is increasingly taught in shorter courses. Chapters are written in an outline format and include pedagogical features such as bolded key words, tables, algorithms, and highlighted clinical correlates, and numerous illustrations, including a 16-page full-colour insert. Each chapter contains USMLE-style questions. In addition there is an end-of-the-book comprehensive exam. A companion Website includes questions and images from the book as well as fully searchable text.
