The Alberta Infant Motor Scales (AIMS) provides a performance-based, norm-referenced measure of infant motor maturation. In conjunction with the manual, Motor Assessment of the Developing Infant, AIMS assists therapists in the early , accurate identification of infants who are developing normally versus those who are at risk and may require intervention. Through observation, the therapist uses the AIMS score sheet to assess the infant's progressive development and integration of antigravity muscular control in the prone, supine, sitting and standing positions.
