Mikey Leung

Mikey Leung is a passionate advocate of sustainable travel. Since completing degrees in anthropology and ecology, he’s worked in too many fields to name, although tour leader, journalist and communications consultant top the list. A former tour leader with Intrepid Travel, he spent 2½ years leading trips throughout Asia and pursuing rather unhealthy addictions to spicy food and foreign languages (Chinese, Thai and now Bengali). In Bangladesh, Mikey volunteered his geeky knowledge with Voluntary Service Overseas, before writing this guidebook. He now works in Australia as a digital communications consultant for social businesses and runs travel media agency Crowdsourced Travel.
