Born in Iran, Abbas (b.1944) is currently based in Paris. He has covered many of the major political events in Iran, Bangladesh, Chile, Cuba, South Africa and the Middle East, and his work is published in magazines worldwide. His books include Iran, La Revolution Confisquee and Return to Mexico. He is a member of the prestigious photo agency Magnum.
