Alain Cadotte holds a Ph.D. in Classics from the Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III) and is now Lecturer at the Concordia University and the University of Ottawa. As an epigraphist, specialist of North African pagan cults, he published several articles on this topic, especially on Frugifer (Zeitschrift für Papyrologie und Epigraphik, 2003) and Pantheus (Antiquités africaines, 2003). He is preparing a guide for the dating of votive Latin inscriptions coming from North Africa.
