Smokin' Boys Smokin' Girls

Smoking youths have traditionally had an air of rebelliousness about them. In the ten years that he has been following and recording youth culture, the Dutch documentary photographer Martijn van de Griendt (1970) has attempted to capture this phenomenon. He shows the role smoking plays today in a time when smoking is increasingly being banned from daily life.
