This text presents an up-to-date account of the developments on all important aspects of power system dynamics and control. It is divided into five parts. The first part begins by introducing the basic concepts of stability, and reviews classical techniques of analysis. The second part develops the system model in detail. Part three presents small signal stability analysis as applied to the problem of low frequency oscillations. Part four provides a discussion of the Subsynchronous Resource (SSR) phenomenon and methods of analysis. It also includes solutions and counter problems. Part five deals with the transient stability problems.
