This second edition of Lexicon of Terms aims to give practical guidance to law students, lawyers, legal secretaries, paralegals, legal executives, ESP teachers, interpreters, translators and professional people who need English for their present or future day-to-day work in the legal field. Arranged thematically in alphabetical format, the book consists of eight chapters devoted to civil law, commercial partnerships and companies, capital markets, accounting, bankruptcy and reorganisation law, customs and fiscal law as well as labour law. This new edition includes additions to, and modifications of, the legal vocabulary, resulting from changes in the labour law (see sections on recognition of professional qualifications acquired in the EU, regulated professions and the Worker Registration Scheme in the United Kingdom).
