Hans Lijklema is a graphic designer, an avid reader of comic books and the author of various books on graphic design and illustration, including the highly successful "Free Font Index" series and "Design for Music". Since 1996 he has been living in Warsaw, Poland, where he worked as the design director of Saatchi & Saatchi Design before starting his own design practice in 2001, together with Karolina Lijklema. Over the years they have designed mainly book covers, corporate identities and packaging for local as well as international clients. By teaching graphic design and Illustration, both have shared their experience with the students of several art schools. Hans and Karolina Lijklema are the authors of numerous children’s books, including pioneering educational books for different public institutions.
