Opis

The Guide to Reprints, a world-wide reference work on reprints in print, has been completely revised for the new edition. More than 2,600 entries have been added to the new edition which now contains a total of 68,836 entries. The Guide to Reprints not only contains information on author, title, ISBN and retail price of titles from over 749 publishers and distributors but also offers clear descriptions of books e.g. the number of pages, illustrations, preface and epilogue of a title, as well as any other works bound with it. The subject order of the second volume of the Guide to Reprints and the index of names facilitate fast and targeted searches for individual areas of interest. Librarians, booksellers, archivists, academics, editors as well as anybody interested can now easily find out about reprints. The Guide to Reprints lists all conceivable fields of publishing ranging from bibliographies, encyclopedias, philosophical and historical, mathematical and physical treatises to fiction and children's books. Clearly structured and easy to use ... Consisting of two volumes, the Guide to Reprints is user-friendly and clearly structured: Part I: Author Title and Part II: Subject Guide are each preceded by a list of publishers also giving distributors world-wide as well as any essential information. Part I: Author Title presents publications in alphabetical order, structured by title, author and editor. Full title entries containing details on author, editor, number of pages, year of publication, binding, price, ISBN, Subject field number and shortened form of publisher are to be found under the title. Authors, editors and additional works bound together with a specific title, refer the user to the main entry. Part II: Subject Guide classifies works in no less than 233 different subject fields. Should you, for example, be looking for further literature referring to the title "18th century literature", simply note the subject field number in square brackets [420] (English Language and Literature) and check the respective entry in the Subject volume. There you will find other relevant titles. The Guide to Reprints also contains an Index of Persons as Subject. This Index facilitates quick and easy searches for reprints focussing on individual persons and their work.
