This work encompasses the technology involved in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. It is intended to facilitate an understanding of the technology encountered in a modern cardiac diagnostic centre, and to break down the barriers encountered by many students in training. The author has acknowledged that not all institutions possess the most advanced and expensive equipment, and has therefore included selected technology less up-to-date. The book should be useful for paramedical professionals involved in cardiology and related fields including clinical technologists, cardiac nurses, radiographers and initiate physicians.
