This work presents an overview of all common retinopathies seen in clinical practice, together with a few rarer conditions. The text deals with the ophthalmological aspects of the subject, with a strong focus on modern diagnosis and medical managements. After three introductory chapters dealing with anatomy, ophthalmological signs and clinical investigations, the book presents all major disease states in a series of ten chapters. These include diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, retinal artery occlusion and retinal vein occlusion. Inflammatory diseases and infections are dealt with in detail, whilst other chapters cover haematological and optic nerve diseases.
