Amandes Ameres

Amandes Amères, or Bitter Almonds, is a portfolio of colour photographs; intense yet contemplative cityscape images of the cityscape, from Buenos Aires to Miami to Tel Aviv. A work of art in its own right, Amandes Amères premiered in June 1997 at Documenta X (Kassel, Germany, 1997), the world's most influential contemporary art exhibition. The book marks Phaidon's first participation in this major event.
