Sean Rorison is a freelance writer from Vancouver, British Columbia, who has made his way to over 90 countries. His range of travel interests is broad, including some of the most contentious regions of the world – from Afghanistan to Iraq, Colombia to Somalia; he has also indulged his love for more mainstream destinations like Liechtenstein, Malta and Japan. He has written numerous articles on the political and social situations in Somalia, Algeria, Pakistan and the Republic of Congo as well as operated his own website, Sean’s Travel Stories, since 1998. In 2002, he helped start the popular travel journal site Polo’s Bastards, which focuses primarily on difficult destinations. While his readers revel in his journeys to the Congos, they still haven’t warmed up to his visits to Malta. He currently lives in the Canadian Arctic.
